Welcome to ParentNet at QAE!
Our Next Meeting:
Tuesday, February 28th
6:30 - 8:30pm
QAE Library
Grab some FREE pizza and let’s focus on parenting topics that are timely and important to YOU. Sibling rivalry? Getting out the door in the morning? What’s your parenting challenge lately? Bring it!
ParentNet is an open space for Kindergarten through 2nd grade families to discuss everyday parenting topics or challenges in a supportive community.
Bring a parent who’s new to ParentNet, and you’ll both be entered to win a $15 Menschie’s gift card!
All K-2 families at QAE welcome.
Childcare Change! Childcare is now available by RSVP only, for a requested $10/family donation.
Reserve your spot by contacting [email protected]
What is ParentNet?
At ParentNet meetings, parents of children in the same grade level meet up for meaningful conversation about their kids and parenting. Parents lead the meetings, pick the topics, and do all the talking. It’s fun!
Click here to see some of the topics covered at past meetings.
The program includes Kindergarten, First, and Second grade families.
It's a great place to share your struggles and victories in parenting with other parents who have kids in K-2 at Queen Anne.
Why ParentNet?
Getting to know other parents who have kids the same age as ours, and sharing our parenting challenges and experiences, helps us become better parents and ease frustrations and fears.
ParentNet meetings are fun and social, but also structured. They are led by parent volunteers who help guide and facilitate the discussion, and a faculty
liaison attends in case parents have school-related questions or issues that should be addressed.
If you’re familiar with PEPS or the co-op preschool model, a ParentNet meeting will seem very familiar.
Who can participate?
QAE launched ParentNet in Spring 2014 for our Kindergarten and first grade families.
ParentNet expanded to include kindergarten, first, and second grades during the 2014-2015 school year.
In 2015-2016, we've expanded again to include both parent meetings and a guest-speaker event.
